deedeedee123)I'm a busy lady; if my time isn't taken up in cross-stitch I'm up to my neck in singing, songwriting, composing music on my guitar or learning to play my mandolin. I'm also looking into getting a home studio together to record music and am searching for a trustworthy musician to get gigs with.
I'm a Wiccan and love and respect all living things - even spiders (which I am terrified of). I do not feel that my personal faith is the exclusive, only one that is right though, and so I respect and honour all other religions. You don't have to be a Wiccan to get along with me; I don't care if you're Christian, Jewish, Islam, Muslim, Satanist even, as long as we get along and enjoy each other's friendship. Friendship is all that matters at the end of the day, and I do not believe in cultural/religious differences. Underneath the skin we all have the same vital organs and all bleed the same colour.
I abhor racism in all its forms, and I cannot stand the way that certain subcultures (Goths, long haired men, bikers etc) are also ostrasiced. To me that is simply another form of racism.
I am completely against any and all jokes about disabled people. My son is severely Autistic, I am epileptic and I also have symptoms of ADHD. If you like to make jokes about window lickers and such, I don't want you on my list and you need to get a life and a decent brain in your head (oh, and a personality too).
I'm lucky that, after many years of travelling around, lodging with people and having my heart broken, I have now found and settled down with the love of my life,
rpdom. My journal has never been such a fun, happy and amusing place to visit until now.I mostly post about my life, my music and amusing things that happen to me. I rarely do memes or quizzes. I comment when I have something relevant to say, but I am not a comment whore, so please don't be offended if I don't reply to your entry; if I don't it simply means that I can't comment on the subject... although I will offer many lots of hugs when required.
I am currently in the process of writing and recording a CD in memory of my best friend, who passed away on January 15th 2008 after a long battle with a brain tumour. I was hoping to have it done this year, but as usual reality had other ideas to my actual plans! I'm still writing and composing even though the singing has temporarily had to be knocked on the head, and am hoping to get it recorded sometime next Summer. All proceeds will be going to the Sue Ryder Hospice, who made my friend's last few months comfortable and looked after him well.
